CIRCULATORY SYSTEM

Aquí os resumo las partes más importantes del sistema respiratorio:
- Interviene en la función de nutrición.
- Es el encargado de transportar los nutrientes (comida que absorbemos a través del aparato digestivo) y el oxígeno (O2) (que obtenemos a través del sistema respiratorio) a través de la sangre a todas las partes de nuestro cuerpo. También transporta sustancias de desecho, como el dióxido de carbono (CO2).

*Recordad: Comida + Oxígeno = Energía

- Partes más importantes:

• Corazón: bombea (mueve) la sangre a través de todo nuestro cuerpo.
• Sangre: líquido rojo que contiene los nutrientes y el oxígeno, los lleva a todas las partes de nuestro cuerpo.

- It is part of the nutrition function.

- It transports the nutrients (food that we absorb through the digestive system) and the oxygen (O2) (that we obtain through the respiratory system) through the blood to all the parts of our body. It also transports waste substances such as carbon dioxide (CO2).

*Remember: Food + Oxygen = Energy

- Most important parts:

• Heart: It pumps (moves) the blood through our body.
• Blood: Red liquid that contains nutrients and oxygen, it transports them to all parts of our body.

RESPIRATORY SYSTEM

Aquí os resumo las partes más importantes del sistema respiratorio:
- Interviene en la función de nutrición.
- Es el encargado de la  respiración: inspiramos (tomamos) aire a través de la boca o la nariz. El aire, rico en oxígeno, pasa a los pulmones, que son los órganos donde el oxígeno (O2) pasa a la sangre. La sangre transporta el oxígeno (O2) por todo el cuerpo, y recoge el dióxido de carbono (CO2) que vuelve a los pulmones. El aire rico en dióxido de carbono (CO2) lo expulsamos (espiramos) al exterior.

- Órganos más importantes:

• Nariz: por donde inspiramos (tomamos) aire del exterior.
• Boca: también inspiramos por la boca, y es por donde normalmente expulsamos el aire que viene de los pulmones (espiración).
• Pulmones: dos órganos donde el oxígeno (O2) pasa a la sangre, y el dióxido de carbono (CO2) pasa de la sangre a los pulmones para ser expulsado.

- It is the one in charge of the breathing: we breathe in air through the mouth or the nose. The air, rich in oxygen, passes into the lungs, which are the organs where oxygen (O2) passes into the blood. Blood carries oxygen (O2) throughout the body, and collects carbon dioxide (CO2) back into the lungs. We breath out the air rich in carbon dioxide (CO2).

- Most important organs:

• Nose: where we breathe air.
• Mouth: We also breathe through the mouth.
• Lungs: two organs where oxygen (O2) passes into the blood, and carbon dioxide (CO2) passes from the blood into the lungs to be expelled.

DIGESTIVE SYSTEM

Aquí os resumo las partes más importantes del aparato digestivo:
- Interviene en la función de nutrición.
- Es el encargado de descomponer la comida (digerir) en partes más pequeñas (nutrientes) que pasan a la sangre para ser transportados por todo el cuerpo.
- Órganos más importantes:

• Boca - dientes: donde introducimos la comida, con los dientes la masticamos.
• Estómago: donde tiene lugar la mayor parte del proceso de la digestión.
• Intestinos: donde se absorben los nutrientes y el agua, y pasan a la sangre.

- It decomposes the food (digest) in small parts (nutrients) that pass to the blood to be transported around the body.

- Most important organs:

• Mouth - teeth: where we introduce the food, with the teeth we chew it.
• Stomach: where most of the digestion process takes place.
• Intestines: where nutrients and water are absorbed, and pass into the blood.
